The Kapp Angus herd is owned and managed by Alan and Kathy Kapp with the help of their children,
Sheldon and Mary Jane. We are located at Clarksdale, Missouri, about 15 miles northeast of St. Joseph.
Alan’s maternal great-grandfather purchased his first registered Angus in 1932. The herd has been
owned and operated by family members since that time. Performance testing with the University of
Missouri Extension Service and Angus Herd Improvement Records was begun in 1976. Artificial
Insemination to multi-trait, high performance sire has been in use since 1978. Herd wide, we select for
convenience traits first including “heifer safe” calving ease. We enjoy fast growing, early maturing
cattle with lots of end product merit.
